Celebrating Success!

Our inquiry was related to celebrating success. We had some challenges but we had to learn how to get over them.

Growing plants

We were learning about plants growing and seeds sprouting. We grew cress and broad beans in class. We watched how water moves through plants by putting celery in coloured water.

This is how my cress,celery and broad beans changed over time.  

ANZAC Poppies

On 25th April 2015, it was the 100th anniversary of ANZAC soldiers landing at Gallipoli. We learnt lots of things about life and war for the ANZAC soldiers when we visited Auckland Museum in April. We created poppies, we have written poems and letters about ANZAC and World War 1.

I created this picture of ANZAC poppies with crayon and dye.
